It's 12:44 am and I'm at the library.  Tomorrow, I have 2 papers due and I also have to give an advocacy speech for my public speaking class.  Basically, I have to shout about illegal immigration between the library and the union.  I'm not one who's ever been crazy about shouting, especially when it's in a public place.  Especially when it's outside in November.  Especially when it's about illegal immigration.  Oh goodness.  Let's just say I'm ready to get this over with.  On a brighter note, I'm listening to the Little Women soundtrack.  It's pretty hard to beat Little Women while studying (blogging).  My sister and I always used to try and figure out which sister we were most like.  I think we came to the conclusion that she was a mixture of Meg and Beth and I was a mixture of Meg and Jo.  I'm okay with that, although I wish I was a little more Jo-like.  I would love to be a great writer.  But for now, I should probably focus on being a great speaker.  At least until tomorrow :)

Home Sweet Home

Today, I'm going home to Bartlesville for the first time this semester!  I'm pretty excited.  Here's why:
1. I haven't seen my parents since August.
2. I've spent a total of about 10 days in my parents' current house and I think I've forgotten what it looks like.
3. My mom's making one of my favorite meals tonight for dinner.
4. I'll get to watch the Arkansas vs. LSU game with my dad.
5. I'm planning on doing some massive, uninterrupted sleeping in.
6. No brough for 5 whole days.
7. No class for 5 whole days.
8. I get to see Kayla, my best friend from high school.
9. Christmas decorating!!!!
10. I get to pick out my Christmas ornament for this year.
11.  I'll be spending a few days with my grandparents and some cousins in the great state of Kansas.
12.  Turkey is good
13. I love driving home. I don't ever get carsick.

Oh, Winter.

I think winter has officially arrived.  The good news?  That means Christmas is coming soon!  The bad news?  Good old Humphreys still doesn't have heat.  I think this morning was the first time I've ever legitimately considered purchasing a snuggie.
As I was reading in my bed this morning, I had to put on a pair of gloves because my hands were so cold.  If only I owned a snuggie...

As I got out of bed to check the temperature, I thought I might get frost bite on my toes.  Thank goodness I own some great socks.

Embarrassing?  Maybe.  But totally worth it.
P.S., it was 36 degrees at 8 this morning.  I don't think it was much warmer in my room.

As I'm sitting in my room typing this, my whole body is beginning to shiver.  I'm tempted to wear my onesie.
It's green with snowmen.

Also, I'm getting hungry.  Chicken tortilla soup sounds so amazing.  I doubt Brough has any, but at least it's warm!

Well, I finally decided to give in and join the blogging world for real.  I really don't know what I'll say, as nothing very interesting usually happens in my life.  However, I'm willing to give it a try.  Yesterday, as I was making this page, I decided to make a list of things I really like.  I think it will be a good start to my blog.  So, here it is (in no particular order).

1. Lists - if you know me at all, you know I LOVE lists.  Most of my posts will probably be in list form.
2. Peanut butter
3. Sunny days
4. Christmas - you probably have no idea how excited I am for Christmas.  Some of my favorite things about Christmas include all Christmas music, peanut butter fudge (I really do like peanut butter), stockings, being with my sister, Miracle on 34th Street, lights on the square, 24-hour A Christmas Story marathon, Christmas Eve service at church, and tacky sweaters.
5. Organization
6. Goldfish (the crackers)
7. My new goldfish holder that Kelly Hon gave me
8. Movie nights
9. Dogs (specifically, Basset hounds and cocker spaniels)
10. Jesus - duh.
11. QT
12. Sweet qts
13. Office supplies
14. Hair things
15. Pink
16. Punctuality
17. Painted nails
